Getting there and back safely.

The RSA is partnering with Electric Picnic to deliver important life-saving road safety messages around the festival which runs from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 August at Stradbally Hall, Co. Laois. This forms part of a new RSA strategy to reach a youth audience and support them on their road safety journey, particularly with the rise in youth road fatalities in 2024.

FlineBox interactive breathalyser stations

This year, our presence at Electric Picnic will feature FlineBox interactive breathalyser stations* that enable festival-goers to measure their blood alcohol level to make an informed decision about getting behind the wheel when leaving the event.

The FlineBox interactive breathalysers have an interactive digital screen and allow users to breathe through a straw device with the result then highlighted on screen showing whether the person is above or below the legal limit.

Lose Your Licence, Lose your Independence

We will also be launching a new campaign at Electric Picnic that highlights the consequences of losing your licence. It explores how the loss of freedom and independence makes you more reliant on family, friends and colleagues to take you where you need to go.

The campaign aims to show young male drivers what it is like to become a burden to others when you lose your licence, and to encourage safe and responsible behaviours on the road. It highlights the message of an automatic disqualification if caught driving under the influence of drink or drugs and at Electric Picnic the video encourages everyone to get home safely.

WIN A ‘Money can’t buy experience’ at ELECTRIC PICNIC EXPERIENCE

We have 1 ‘money can’t buy experience’ for two, up for grabs for all those who enter our competition survey.

Please see the terms and conditions to our competition below:

  1. The Promoter is the Road Safety Authority, Moy Valley Business Park, Primrose Hill, Ballina, Co. Mayo
  2. Promotional copy and web copy form part of these rules and by entering this competition you agree to be bound by these rules.
  3. To enter at Electric Picnic, scan the QR code that can be found at each of our activation areas in the four main parking areas. Answer all the survey questions and supply us with you name and mobile number.
  4. To enter via the Electric Picnic App. Lookout for our competition banner, click through to the survey, answer all the questions and supply us with your name and contact number.  
  5. You can enter as often as you like. Only one prize can be won per person.
  6. The Road Safety Authority will be bound by all data privacy guidelines and will not share or release any data to any third parties except for the winners details that will be shared with Live Nation in order for the winner to redeem their prize.
  7. This prize draw is open to all residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, except employees of The Road Safety Authority, their immediate families, their agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
  8. This competition runs from August 14th until August 18th, 2024. The winner will be drawn on Sunday the 18th of August 2024 at 1pm.
  9. The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into, by entering this competition you will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  10. Any entry not in strict accordance with these terms and conditions will be deemed to be invalid.
  11. The winners will be notified via a call on their mobile phone within 1 hours of the draw. Failure to claim the prize within 3 attempts of us contacting you will result in forfeiture of the prize.
  12. No alternative prize will be offered.
  13. The Road Safety Authority reserves the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw this competition at any time without notice.

10 pairs of EP General Weekend Passes Competition

  1. This competition runs from one day only on the 14th of August until August, 2024
  2. The winners will be announced in the comment section of our giveaway posts and tagged on our social stories. The winners will be asked to Direct Message the RSA to claim their prize and will need to provide their name, contact number and email address to claim their prize.
  3. The prizes include ten pairs of general weekend passes to Electric Picnic 2024
  4. The winners will be notified via The Road Safety Authority social media pages within 1 working day of the draw. 
  5. This competition is separate to the "WIN A MONEY CAN’T BUY EXPERIENCE" competition above.
  6. You must abide by all instructions outlined on the social media posts to be considered a valid entry into the competition.
  7. No alternative prize will be offered.
  8. Winners will be announced according to the dates outlined on each social media post.
  9. After each individual announcement, winners must claim their prize within 1 working days. Failure to claim within that period and the prize will be awarded to the next draw winner.
  10. Each winner will be contacted directly by a Road Safety Authority staff member through the official Road Safety Authority social media account.
  11. Entrants may be required to participate in publicity photographs.
