RSA enters into a Data Sharing Agreement with the Office of the Revenue Commissioners

25.03.2025

In line with the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019, the Road Safety Authority has entered into a Data Sharing Agreement with the Office of the Revenue Commissioners for the sharing of Unique Business Identification Numbers (UBIN data).

This Data Sharing Agreement follows the public consultation which ran from 17 July 2024 to 14 August 2024 where members of the public were invited to make submissions.

The introduction of this agreement provides benefits to the public and to businesses who may no longer have to supply the same information to multiple public bodies. It will also enable consistency of information across public bodies.

Strict data governance measures have been put in place to ensure that personal data is collected, processed and shared in accordance with national and EU data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019.

For more information on how the RSA manages your personal data please see our Privacy Policy.
