Road Safety Authority Annual Conference 2023
04.10.2023The Road Safety Authority held their annual conference on the 4 October 2023. This year’s RSA Annual Conference focused on the learnings we can generate about road safety trends from analysing serious injuries on our roads.
It was an opportunity to bring road safety stakeholders together to further understand the true scale of the problem.
Case study examples from Ireland and Finland were presented. In addition, medical and enforcement experts gave their perspectives on policy approaches to tackling serious injuries to improve road safety outcomes. The conference also heard from people who have experienced a serious injury as a result of a road collision.
The afternoon session featured a panel of international road safety experts discussing e-scooter serious injuries. The moderated discussion saw each panelist make a brief initial statement on the trends they are seeing in their country in relation to serious injuries among e-scooter users.
