New information leaflets supporting safe mobility

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) in association with the National Office for Traffic Medicine (NOTM) at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) today announced the publication of the 2020 update of the Sláinte agus Tiomáint Medical Fitness to Drive Guidelines for Group 1 and Group 2 drivers and three additional information leaflets offering advice to drivers.

Speed remains factor in motorcyclist deaths in Ireland

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) and An Garda Síochána are urging motorcyclists to “ease off the throttle” and to be extra cautious as the roads get busier following the lifting of COVID-19 travel restrictions. They are also appealing to drivers to watch out for motorcyclists by looking once and looking again, to make sure there are no motorcyclists in their blind spots.
