Volvo recalls certain Volvo S60, V60, V60CC, S90, V90, V90CC, S90L, XC60 and XC90 passenger vehicles


JUNE 15, 2021

Volvo Car Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall on number of their passenger vehicles models including the following: Volvo S60, V60, V60CC, S90, V90, V90CC, S90L, XC60 and XC90’ passenger vehicles.

Volvo Car Ireland Limited has established that in very rare cases the 15A fuse to the low-pressure fuel pump may blow. If this should occur, in the very worst case, this will lead to stalling. The internal combustion engine will not start. A Driver Information Module (DIM) message will be displayed.

There are 157 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between 2019 - 2020. 
 

What to do:


Volvo Car Ireland Limited will be writing directly to those consumers affected by this recall. The letter will advise affected vehicle owners to contact their nearest Volvo Dealer or Authorised Repairer where an extra degassing line (Bleeder Hose) will be added between the cooling system radiator and the cooling system expansion tank. This will evacuate the trapped air.

The number of vehicles involved in a previous Volvo Car Ireland Limited recall located here has increased from 7,826 to 8,664 vehicles.
