Toyota Ireland recalls certain TOYOTA AURIS, C-HR and COROLLA passenger vehicles

.

June 23, 2021

Toyota Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain TOYOTA AURIS, C-HR and COROLLA passenger vehicles.

The affected vehicles were produced between:

C-HR                from 09/05/2018 to 13/02/2019

Auris                from 30/05/2018 to 23/08/2018

Corolla             from 21/12/2018 to 16/04/2019

A safety issue has been identified with the affected vehicles whereby wear or damage may occur over time on the inside of the high-pressure pump for the vehicles in question, due to inconsistent resistance characteristics of the pump components against the high fuel pressure. If this happens because the voltage is concentrated on the welded parts of the pump, cracks may be formed in the weld and a fuel leak may occur.

There are 571 vehicles (19 Auris, 317 C-HR & 235 Corolla) affected in the Republic of Ireland
