Mazda Motor Ireland recalls certain Mazda CX-30 vehicles

MAY 18, 2021

Mazda Motor Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Mazda CX-30 vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby an improper retaining force of certain power liftgate drive motor units, as well as a reduction in the liftgate support in high ambient temperatures, the power liftgate may partially lower from the fully opened position when parked on an incline. The liftgate will not lower completely as a result of this defect. There is no warning or indication before this defect occurs.

There are 469 vehicles affected in the Republic of Ireland that were produced between the 25 April 2019 to 15 October 2020.

What to do:

Mazda Motor Ireland will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Authorised Repairer where any necessary repairs will be carried out.

If you believe your vehicle may be impacted by this recall, you can speak to your local Mazda dealer for further information. Contact information for your local Mazda dealer can be found by following this link.
