Hyundai recalls certain ‘Kona’ model passenger vehicles

JANUARY 11, 2021

Hyundai Cars Ireland Unlimited Company is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain ‘Kona’ model passenger vehicles.

Affected vehicles were manufactured between January 2018 and March 2020.

A safety issue has been identified, whereby in some vehicles there is evidence of a motor signal error from the integrated electric brake. The consequence of this defect is reduced braking power.

This recall affects approximately 2,531 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Hyundai Cars Ireland Unlimited Company will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Hyundai dealer or authorised repairer, where necessary works will be carried out on vehicles.
