Hyundai Cars Ireland recalls certain Hyundai Kona and Ioniq electric passenger vehicles

Hyundai Cars Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall on certain Hyundai Kona & Ioniq electric passenger vehicles.

A safety issue has been identified whereby remote possibility of an electrical short circuit occurring within the lithium-ion battery assembly.

This recall affects approximately 1,591 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Hyundai Cars Ireland Unlimited Company will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Hyundai dealer or authorised repairer, where necessary works will be carried out on vehicles.
